Support that knows Adelaide, not just the NDIS

Caring Hearts is a registered NDIS provider based in and around Adelaide, supporting participants from the city grid out to the coast and up into the hills. Our workers know the quickest route from Norwood to the Repat, which car parks near the Adelaide Central Market are accessible, and which Glenelg café tables suit a wheelchair on a windy day.

That local knowledge sits on top of national NDIS registration — audited systems, screened workers, and pricing that always sits within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. It means the same worker turning up on time, notes your coordinator can actually use, and a complaints pathway that goes all the way to the Commission if we ever get it wrong.

Whether you're in the northern suburbs, the southern coastal strip, the eastern suburbs near Norwood and Burnside, or up in Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills, our rostering is built around real travel times — not a map that stops at the CBD.

"Choose a provider the way you'd choose a builder: not by the brochure, but by who inspects their work."

What "registered" guarantees, in plain language

The NDIS Commission's requirements read like legislation. Here's what each one actually means for you and your family in Adelaide, day to day.

Obligation
The requirement
What it means for you
Quality audit

Independent certification against the NDIS Practice Standards, renewed on a fixed cycle by an approved auditor.

Our systems — rostering, documentation, medication handling, safeguarding — have been examined by an outsider whose job is to find the gaps.

Worker screening

Every worker must hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check before delivering any support.

Nobody enters your home in Adelaide without a national clearance — checked before their first shift and monitored continuously after it.

Price limits

Registered providers must charge within the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

Your funding stretches the way the plan intended — capped rates, transparent invoices, and no premium beyond what the price guide allows.

Incident reporting

Serious incidents must be reported to the NDIS Commission within strict timeframes.

Problems can't be quietly buried. If something significant happens on a shift, there is a legal obligation to document it, act on it and report it.

Complaints system

A documented complaints process, with participants free to escalate to the Commission at any time.

You never have to "stay quiet to keep the support." Raise anything with us directly — and if we don't fix it, a regulator sits above us who will.

Rights & dignity

Supports must uphold participant choice, control, privacy and freedom from restrictive practices.

Your preferences lead every shift — who supports you, how, and when — with restrictive practices used only under authorised behaviour support plans, if at all.

Want to verify us? Every registered NDIS provider appears on the Commission's public register — or just call 1800 844 995 and ask for our registration details.

Plan management types

Registered means we work with every plan type

How your plan is managed decides which providers you can use. Registration keeps every door open — here's how each arrangement works with us.

After our last provider, I checked everything — the register, the screening, the invoices. It all held up. Six months in, the thing I notice most is smaller: the same two workers, on time, every single week.

Registered provider questions

Answers before you commit to anything

If your question about choosing a registered NDIS provider in Adelaide isn't here, ask it directly — we'd rather answer it now than after paperwork has started.

Ask us directly
What does it mean to be a registered NDIS provider in Adelaide?
Registration means the provider has been independently audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and is regulated by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It covers worker screening, incident reporting, complaints management and compliance with NDIS price limits — obligations unregistered providers don't carry.
Do I have to use a registered provider?
If your plan is NDIA-managed (agency-managed), yes — only registered providers can be used. Plan-managed and self-managed participants can choose either, but many still prefer registered providers for the independent auditing, worker screening and price-limit protections that registration brings.
Which Adelaide areas do you cover?
Metropolitan Adelaide — from Salisbury, Elizabeth and Mawson Lakes in the north, through the CBD and inner suburbs, down to Marion, Morphett Vale, Noarlunga and Aldinga in the south, and out to Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills. If your suburb isn't listed, call — we regularly extend coverage.
Can I switch to you from my current provider?
Yes, at any time — choice of provider is your right under the NDIS. We can run alongside your existing provider during handover so support never drops out, and we handle the service agreement and booking changes with your plan manager or the NDIA.
How quickly can support start?
Most participants start within two weeks of first contact. Hospital discharges and urgent situations are prioritised and can be arranged faster. Every enquiry is answered within one business day.
Do you work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed plans?
Yes — all three. As a registered provider we claim directly through the NDIA portal for agency-managed participants, invoice your plan manager, or invoice you directly if you self-manage. Our rates always comply with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
How can I verify your registration?
Every registered NDIS provider is listed on the NDIS Commission's public provider register, searchable by name. You can also simply call us and ask for our registration number — a registered provider will always give it without hesitation.
